Wall system introduced
A new wall system is being used in the construction of a retail
business in Naples. The My Gym Retail Center at 2535 Northbrooke
Plaza Drive features a method for wall construction introduced by
Efficient Wall Systems of Florida and Henning Construction.
According to Herman Guevara, vice president for sales and marketing
at Efficient Wall Systems, the patented wall regimen is a sturdier,
straighter and cost-competitive alternative to concrete block
technology. "Our wall system (the E-Wall) takes half of the time of
a standard concrete block system and uses one-third of the labor,"
Guevara said. "Thanks to a poured solid installation method and
two-inch insulation, the walls are extremely energy-efficient and
resistant to mold, which has become a growing health and investment
concern for people in Florida's humid climate. And with
pour-in-place concrete, steel-reinforced frames, the walls withstand
hurricane-force winds of over 250 miles per hour." Efficient Wall
Systems opened its Florida manufacturing company in Sarasota last
November.
